Lwanda Magere is like the Kenyan version of a superhero…but like MORE COOLER!!! if you read his story its a pretty interesting story.
I was approached by John Jumbi ‘JJ’ from ChatterBox and he briefed me about the set idea he had for the show, we brainstormed and i came up with a look and feel for the stage which we agreed on.
The idea was to bring a Village to life and make the whole space feel like a Koth Biro VILLAGE! First off it being on a stage we needed houses that weren’t so big and some planks to put around the set.
We built 3 Half huts, one big and 2 small ones from scratch, thatched its roof and put grass and mud on the inside, we also needed to make 3 plunks on castor wheels of size 5ft x 8ft.
Here are the construction process in pictures..
